Two Bedroomed Flat Near Haymarket Festival Let Description:

Our flat is a traditional Edinburgh apartment, on the ground floor of a Victorian tenement building. The flat is located just around the corner from the bus link into town - with buses directly to Princes street - although the West End is no more than twenty minutes stroll, so you may wish to just wander there. A short walk takes you to the bus route for the Royal Mile.

We are also located a few minutes walk from Haymarket station - so transport links to the rest of Scotland and to the Airport are very close.

In the immediate vicinity, there is a traditional victorian swimming baths and there is a leisure complex at Fountainbridge - a few minutes walk from the flat, with Cinema, a bowling alley, a microbrewery pub and a Virgin fitness centre. If you prefer something a little more arty, then the Filmhouse - Scotland's leading independent cinema is close by - just off the West End corner of Princes street on Lothian road - as are the Usher Hall, the Lyceum and Traverse Theatres and the Picture House Music venue. All these venues can be reached on foot in around fifteen to twenty minutes - or on the bus in about five or ten.

Dalry road is one of Edinburgh's busy streets - lined with restaurants, cafes and shops. There are some excellent pubs in easy walking distance and there are also some great takeaways.
But if you prefer to cook, then you have a good choice of supermarkets on your door and a Thai food shop on Dalry road. Polish Delis, Butchers, fishmongers and Asian Groceries are all a short walk away on Gorgie road. Saturday morning sees the Edinburgh Farmer's Market on Castle Terrace - a great place to taste the best produce that Scotland has to offer.

If you like to cycle, the Edinburgh path network picks up a couple of streets away and takes you all around the city to the shore.

The flat has two bedrooms - (one double, one twin) and a pleasant lounge with a nice big sofa, dining space for four and a good quality and comfortable sofa bed, which provides an additional sleeping space for two more people, if you have a bigger party. There is a TV with cable TV from virgin, a DVD player, cd player and free wifi.

The bathroom has a spacious, vintage, cast iron bath with a shower above.

The kitchen isn't huge but it's well equipped, with an oven, 5 ring hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and dishwasher so if you like to cook you won't be disappointed and we grow a few herbs at the front, so help yourself. There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Come and enjoy Edinburgh in a comfortable family home.

Festival Rates are £150 a night with a three night minimum stay or £700 a week. Longer stays are available and rates will be reduced according to length of stay. Contact us for details.
